Flower Arrangements For Wedding

Brides Bouquet

There are three categories of wedding bouquets: Cascade, Round and Hand-tied.
  • The cascade is shaped like the waterfall, flowers on the top are emphasized, with more flowers flowing down and greeneries blended throughout.
  • The round shaped bouquet has a round shape with different floral varieties tightly blended together will little greenery
  • The hand-tied is a bunch of flowers loosely tied together with the stems showing.

There are a few things to consider when picking the right type of wedding bouquet. The bouquet needs to be correctly proportioned to the body size, the wedding gown and the wedding colors. The bouquet should not be larger than your head.
The Cascade bouquet can make the bride look slimmer due to it’s longer narrow shape. The cascade bouquet also is good for tall brides, provides the balanced look. The Hand-tided bouquet also works well for many tall brides.
Round bouquets work well for the small and average sized, well proportioned body. These bouquets are very popular and give a balanced look. However a Round bouquet can emphasize a person’s hips, making them look bigger.

The Hand-tied bouquet provides a fresh, casual
but elegant look and is very popular. This bouquet
fits a more natural setting.
Another option for sleeveless gowns is wearing an Arm Bouquet which is smaller.

Other Wedding Flowers

Maid Of Honor and Bridesmaids bouquets should be similar to the bride’s bouquet but smaller, simpler.
Corsages are usually worn by sisters, mothers and grandmothers, either pinned to the dress, pinned to the purse or worn at the wrist.
Boutonnieres are worn by the Best Man,
                                                                                   groomsmen, fathers, grandfathers, ushers, and
the ring bearer.

Tips for corsages and boutonnieres:
  • The corsages and boutonnieres should all be of the same flower and color.
  • They should be light and balanced to not look out of place.
  • They can be of fresh flowers or silk flowers for durability.

Ceremony Flowers

Flower arrangements are usually placed around
                                                                                   main altar and the aisles.

Reception Flowers

Use Centerpiece arrangements for Main table, Guest table, Gift table, Buffet table, Bar, and Guestbook table.
These centerpieces can be of the same type of flowers or not, but make sure they all blend into the theme of the wedding.

Others

Other possible flowers can be around the wedding cake and of course the flower girl. For the flower girl, there is the basket, headpiece and petals.
